Indian Knowledge System and Modern Education System through Artificial Intelligence
This paper explores the integration of the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) with the modern education system through the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). IKS, with its holistic, value-oriented, and context-sensitive traditions, offers timeless wisdom that complements the technological advancements of AI in personalized, adaptive, and inclusive education. The seminar discusses the strengths and gaps in current Indian education and how AI tools can enhance access, preserve traditional knowledge, and support experiential learning while respecting ethical perspectives rooted in Indian philosophy. Challenges such as digital divides, data privacy, and authenticity of digital content are also examined. Policy directions for effective integration at curricular, pedagogical, and institutional levels are suggested. The goal is to harness AI as an augmentation tool to revitalize IKS, fostering ethical, culturally rooted, and future-ready education in India.
